First Sample:

How human social interactions and cultural inclination does affect business and workplace management? How is managing money, machines, materials, men and methods affected by employee’s personal identities, academic disciplines, social contexts, values and beliefs? Where can the study of business management intersect with conversations in ethnic and sociological studies? As I pursue a MSc in International Business Management, with a background in Sociology and workplace ethics, these questions will drive my research.  

Growing up in Northern Nigerian afforded me the first hand experience of seeing a people blessed with unparalleled business ingenuity & a manpower that thrives in almost all endeavors. From processing of hide & skin to business engagements, to commercial agricultural practices to packaging of goods and services etc., my people find expertise at all of them. Often, the peace and warmness we had was punctuated by fracas occasioned by the poor understanding of social-cultural differences amongst the buyers, sellers and middlemen in the market place. Worried by the incessant infighting, tribal wars and religious conflicts that arose from the warring forces of soci0-cultural differences, I began to sought avenues to understand human societies better & to proffer solutions that would lead to a peaceful coexistence amongst my people. My quest compelled an interest in the Humanities.

In 2009 I graduated from the department of Sociology at the XYZ University. Fueled by the dreams to provide succor to the enterprising environment, submerged in unending fracas engendered by poor mgt of the differences in human societies, I migrated to south to learn by firsthand the cultural & religious beliefs of the natives of the region.

For 10years I have crisscrossed a number of workplaces & sectors in search of understanding human societies in the south. From the finance sector, to the telecommunications to Transport & Logistics, I have garnered sufficient experiences to properly assess and draw inferences on the business, social, religious and cultural intrigues amongst the southern dwellers of Nigeria. However, there is a need to subject my findings to a period of guided research and mentorship so I can be better equipped to provide the solutions to business-instigated wars amongst my people of Northern Nigeria.

To further my knowledge of Human societies and the balance understanding of human socio-cultural differences admit the global need to quell insurgence and terrorism, I am seeking a post graduate study position to build on my industry experience and progress with hands on research time aimed at developing and deepening aptitude and ability in the relevant fields of International Business Management.

My ultimate goal is to research and refine my knowledge of Human behaviours in International Business practices. In addition, I aim to serve as a Business sociologist for 3rd world nations.
