The Jennifer Ward Oppenheimer Research Grant (JWO Research Grant) was established to honour the late Mrs Jennifer Ward Oppenheimer and continue her extensive contribution to and passion for Africa, the environment and science. The JWO Research Grant seeks to support an early career scientist who has strong links to a credible African institution. Go to University pages in different countries, look for your course, and email professors in your field. (This is the best and most efficient).  2. Look for Government/school-funded Scholarships in different countries of the world. Check their criteria, and apply. Note that this method is more competitive because it is already public. 3. Look for advertised Positions by Lecturers or Departments: Sometimes, lecturers advertise scholarship positions in their labs. I usually post many of these on this street. Send emails to the lecturers and attach whatever documents they require.  4. There are many schools in the USA and UK where you don't need to send emails to Profs.
