Call for applications: ANSO visiting fellowships at Chinese Academy of Sciences research institutes

  The  Alliance of International Science Organizations  (ANSO) is offering visiting research fellowships to both early career and senior scientists at institutes of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). The Fellowship provides scholars worldwide an opportunity to access high-impact & high-quality mega-science facilities in China and to address scientific problems of common interests for both academia and society. Fellows will work on site at one of CAS's mega-science facilities. They are expected to conduct research in collaboration with CAS researchers.    Visiting Fellowship for Early-Career Scientists This category is open to researchers at an early stage of their career. They could be post-doctoral fellows, lecturers, or assistant professors who wish to conduct relevant research on CAS mega-science facilities for 3-9 months. TWAS Research Grant Programme

We are pleased to announce a new TWAS  Research Grant Programme , through the support of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF),  Seed Grant for New African Principal Investigators (SG-NAPI) . The call for 2021 is now open and will remain open until  27 July 2021. The programme is specifically aimed at  PhD graduates  from  selected African countries , who  obtained their PhD abroad within the last 5 years  and  returned home  within the last  36 months  or  will return home before the end of 2021 . We are pleased to inform you that TWAS , the World Academy of Sciences, and and  AAAS  (The American Association for the Advancement of Science) are accepting applications for the  2021  AAAS-TWAS course on science diplomacy . The workshop will take place online from  30 August to 3 September 2021 . The AAAS-TWAS Science Diplomacy training programme was established in 2014 to expose scientists, policymakers, diplomats and other interested stakeholders and institutions to science diplomacy concepts, explore key contemporary international policy issues relating to science, technology, environment and health, and build a skillset to allow for careers at the intersection of science and diplomacy.   T his  is a reminder that the   Call for Applications for the 2021  OWSD PhD Fellowship s  is closing in just over a week, on April 15 . We encourage you to complete and submit any applications you may have started, and you still even have time to start an application if you haven't done so. To remind you, the Fellowship is offered to women scientists from  Science and Technology Lagging Countries  to undertake PhD research in the natural, engineering and information technology sciences at a host institute in the South. Costs covered include travel to the host country, tuition fees, board, accommodation and living expenses, and a special allowance for travel to international conferences. Call for Applications: Coimbra Group Scholarship Programme for Young Researchers

The Call for Applications is now open for the   Scholarship Programme for Young Researchers  from the  Coimbra Group . This scholarship programme support  more than 70 young researchers and staff from universities in Latin America, Sub-Saharan Africa and the European Neighbourhood to make scientific stays in one of the  19 Coimbra Group member universities , with the aim of enabling scholars to internationalise the research they perform at their home institution and help them establish academic and research contacts in Europe.  Eligibility For the   Scholarship Programme for Young African Researchers : all African countries are eligible  except  Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, and Tunisia (these are eligible under the European neighborhood programme).
